Blessed Obedience

But He said, ‘More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it! Luke 11:28

Obedience to the word of God is the gateway to blessings. As Deuteronomy 28 outlines, adhering to God's commands can bring comprehensive blessings in every aspect of our lives. Yet, these are not merely material promises but fulfillments of spiritual blessings. To "keep" God's word means not only to hear it, but to hold in our heart and do it in our lives.  This goes beyond mere listening; it's an on going and transformative practice. Jesus Christ exemplified this perfect obedience. He didn’t just preach; He lived the Word, radiating the truth through His ministries Let us follow in His steps, where obedience becomes our lifestyle and we can yield to the Holy Spirit to align with His will.

Reflection Question:
In what areas of your life do you find it challenging to keep and obey God's word, and what obstacles are you encountering that hinder your obedience?

Prayer and Declaration:
Abba Father, we desire to walk in the blessedness of obedience, to be doers of the Word and not hearers only, deceiving ourselves (James 1:22). Forgive us for times of delayed or partial obedience, which is disobedience in Your sight. Grant us a spirit of prompt and obedience to Your commandments. May our lives reflect a steadfast commitment to Your Word,  and we have the spirit of sonship to follow your fatherly guidance. In  Jesus’ name, Amen.
