The blessing of obedience: A Prayer from Deuteronomy 28
Abba Father,
I come before You, declaring Your Word over my life. I choose to obey Your voice and walk in Your ways. According to Your promise in Deuteronomy 28, I proclaim that Your blessings shall come upon me and overtake me!
I declare:
I am blessed in the city and blessed in the field (Deut. 28:3).
The fruit of my body is blessed—my health, my children, and my family (Deut. 28:4).
The work of my hands is blessed—my labor, my business, my finances, and all that I set my hands to do (Deut. 28:4-5).
My basket and kneading bowl are blessed—I shall have provision and abundance (Deut. 28:5).
I am blessed when I come in and blessed when I go out—wherever I go, Your favor follows me (Deut. 28:6).
Lord, You also promised:
My enemies who rise against me shall be defeated before me. They may come in one way, but they shall flee before me in seven ways (Deut. 28:7).
You command Your blessing upon me, upon my storehouses, and upon all I undertake (Deut. 28:8).
You have established me as holy unto You, and the peoples of the earth shall see that I am called by Your name (Deut. 28:9-10).
You make me abound in prosperity and in the fruit of my womb (Deut. 28:11).
You open the heavens over my life, granting me rain in season and blessing the work of my hands (Deut. 28:12).
I shall lend to many nations and not borrow—I walk in divine provision (Deut. 28:12).
You make me the head and not the tail (Deut. 28:13).
I reject every form of lack, sickness, defeat, and oppression! I refuse to turn aside to the right or to the left, nor will I serve other gods (Deut. 28:14). Thank You, Jesus, for turning all curses into blessings! I choose to walk in obedience.
Father, I receive these blessings in Jesus' name! Amen!
