Thoughts on Physical healing

And all these, having obtained a good testimony through faith, did not receive the promise, God having provided something better for us, that they should not be made perfect apart from us. Hebrew 11:39-40

I never imagined myself being involved in physical healing ministry. It was years ago that I shared a testimony about how I prayed for a coma-bound uncle, while I was praying in tongue and unsure what to do, but the uncle started moving, and I immediately asked him to accept Christ. Under his oxygen mask, he replied, "I do", then returned to a deep coma. After a few days, he passed away, but everyone rejoiced in his salvation.

Upon hearing the story, the pastor told me I had the gift of healing, and I even joked, "Really? The uncle died.” However, I wasn't sure if I wanted to join the healing ministry, all I knew was that I was assigned to the physical healing team. I've seen countless moments, some healed instantly, some gradually, and some people went to heaven.

How come certain people can't be healed? Why do some people suffer from critical illnesses such as cancer? Or why God won’t heal amputees like me? I have no answers. It is clear to me that God heals today, and God's word commands us to heal the sick in the Bible, but I also believe that healing is a mystery. I have faith that God can heal, but I only do my part as a healing minister, and then I leave the results to Him.

People often ask me how I pray so boldly and reach out to strangers to offer healing prayers.  Even some people have been healed through my prayers, but I never think that it is me, it is God. If someone does not heal as we expect, I do not take the blame. Healing comes from God, and all I can do is impart faith and show love to others.

As there is no sickness and pain in heaven, I want to impart faith and show Jesus' love in the healing journey on earth. Today's key verse mentions some people didn't receive the promise, but because of their persevering faith, they have received a better plan from God. No matter what illness endure, I would like to encourage you to keep the faith, just like I keep one right-sided shoe just in case my leg grows back. When we do the ridiculous, God will do the miraculous.

Blessing prayer : We believe that God heals today, and exercise resolute faith in receiving your divine healing. In Jesus' name, Amen
