Fourfold blessings
And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men. Luke 2:52
Today's key verse describes Jesus as a growing child who has obtained total blessings, which are fourfold. A four-fold blessing is divided as follows: Wisdom signifies a mental blessing, stature signifies a physical blessing, favor with God signifies a spiritual blessing, and favor with men signifies a relational blessing”.
Mental blessings: “As a man thinks, so is he.” (Proverbs 23:7), our souls that represent our emotions, intellects, and wills, is influenced by our thoughts. When we are endowed with "divine wisdom" and cultivate with the mind of Christ, our minds are led by the Spirit via God’s word in order to think from God’s perspective, and our emotions and feelings are whole and complete, and we have a sound mind that can be devoid of confusion but at deep seated peace.
Physical blessings: Being physically healthy allows us to fulfill our God-given mission on earth effectively. In addition to praying for divine healing, we can also pray for divine health. Divine health is a step beyond healing, since the scriptures describe Jesus as never being sick, so we can pray for health filled with God's protection and good health. It is our responsibility to maintain our physical health by adhering to healthy principles such as eating and sleeping well, and staying physically active.
Spiritual blessings: When we are in a state of mature "Sonship" and have an accurate view of our Father God, we are in a state of spiritual blessing. Knowing God as our heavenly Father, Jesus as our personal Savior, and the Holy Spirit dwelling in us help us cultivate loving relationships with God, vested in His love, and receive His divine grace.
Relationship blessings: It is the same as the vertical part of the cross that when we have a right standing relationship with God, we can extend His divine grace horizontally to other people that can be operated in love and mutual honor, and we can attain our “divine purpose”, in which God wants us to help each other and accomplish His will together as a Body.
Under these covenantal blessings, may we all receive divine health, wisdom, grace, and purpose.
