Perhaps today Part 3
Perhaps today, we can let go of the past.
"Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert." – Isaiah 43:18-19
This verse reminds us to stop dwelling on what was and focus on what God is doing TODAY. When we hold on to past mistakes, hurts, or failures, they trap us and keep us from moving forward. These burdens can shape how we see ourselves today or even limit the future God has prepared for us.
God doesn’t want us to carry the weight of yesterday. He desires to set the captives free and invites us to step into the freedom of His promises. Just as He made streams in the desert, He can create entirely new things in our lives—things beyond what we could imagine. Perhaps today is the day to let go of the prison of the past, and to walk in freedom.
Reflection
Write down the negative thoughts from the past. Surrender them to God, forgive yourself, and make the choice not to dwell on the past.
Prayer: Abba Father, help me to let go of the past, to release my regrets, and to trust in the new things You are doing in my life. In Jesus' name, Amen.
