Dress in God's clothes
For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, Isaiah 61:10
Dressing nicely or cheaply on earth does not determine our value or worth in God's eyes. As we read today's key verse, God's clothes are the garments of salvation, and the top garment is covered with the robe of righteousness. God's clothes have spiritual significance and uplift our souls more than clothes we can see or feel.
Feeling down and depressed? Put on the garment of praise in response to the spirit of heaviness. Isaiah 61:3 How to put on the garments of praise? Exalting God with praise, praying, singing, lifting our hearts to Him can expel the spirit of heaviness. We should imagine ourselves wearing splendorous garments when praising God, like wearing your favorite clothes for a celebration. That's the garment of praise, so remove your unhappy jackets and put it on the garments of praise.
The garments of salvation and robes of righteousness are among the greatest garments we can wear in heaven. These clothes represent eternal life, just like the parable of the wedding garment in the new testament, so putting on these garments represents acceptance into God's family.
Particularly, the robe of righteousness reflects our relationship and position with God as His children. As the devil throws us shame tees and guilt jackets, we will display the robe of righteousness that wraps around us. We proudly say “We are covered on every side. There's nothing the devil can say against me." When we are righteous before God, there is nothing to feel ashamed of or guilty about.
What's weighing us down? An old and torn garment? It's time to dress up and put on God's clothes, for His garments are spotless, pefect, and eternally righteous.
Blessing prayer: Thank you Jesus for clothing us in your salvation and righteousness. In celebration of your love and favor, let us wear God's splendid clothing. In Jesus’ name, Amen
