Freedom from accusing spirit Part 2
And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 1 John 2:1
Satan always starts the courtroom drama, waging relentless battles against each of us in heaven. Yet, we don't need to defend and justify ourselves because Jesus is our advocate, our defense attorney who has never lost a case. This is what Jesus says: "Your honor! It is true that the defendant is guilty, but the penalty has been paid." Therefore, we are all acquitted.
It's comforting to know that Jesus is our advocate, so we don't have to defend and vindicate ourselves. Nevertheless, we are able to choose sides in the courtroom by joining either the accusatory team or the defendant team, which is known as the spirit of intercession.
As we are fighting spiritual battles in the heavenly realm, praying to God is against the demonic spirits because we don't battle flesh and blood. My favorite verse to pray against accusations is Romans 8:1, "There is therefore no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus." There are many powerful verses in the Bible in dealing with accusations.
Additionally, I found that intercessory prayer is effective when it comes to the people who accuse us may be under the influence of an accusing spirit. Therefore, rather than try to vindicate ourselves by using our flesh, we will pray for the accusers to be set free from the accusing spirit.
By faith, we can also receive the free gift of justification which leads to peace with God, ourselves, and others. . Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, Romans 5:1.
Don't fight this battle alone when the spirit of accusation is like a stronghold. May God provide us prayer warriors to support us until the stronghold is broken.
Blessing prayer: May the spirit lead us to pray and intercede for others just as Jesus does, for we are on God's side and there is no condemnation who are in Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen
