Kidneys, our inward parts
Kidneys- our inward partsI will bless the Lord who has given me counsel; My heart also instructs me in the night seasons. Psalm 16:7
The key verse describes the heart as originating from the Hebrew word kiloyot, which means kidneys.
In the bible, "the kidney is often referred to as our innermost part (Psalm 139:13). The kidney represents our innermost feelings and emotions and refers to the most hidden organ of an animal sacrifice in the book of Leviticus.
Therefore, kidneys are a symbol of our hidden personality, our innermost emotions and thoughts. We often find that our deepest thoughts arise during the night seasons, when others are sleeping and we are in the midst of solitude. At times, we may have negative thoughts at night, which may interfere with our sleep. Sleep problems have been scientifically linked to kidney problems.
In the evening, instead of letting our minds wander, we should fix our eyes on Jesus, as suggested by the following verse “I have set the Lord always before me.” Psalm 16:8
As important to seek the Lord during the day, at night it is just as equally important to fill our minds with the Lord's words, with meditation, and to focus on Him. My blessings are with you so you will receive divine counsel and revelation at night, and your sleep will be sweet.
Blessing prayer: May Jesus the wonderful counselor give you clarity and peace at night so that your innermost part is aligned with Him, and may you receive divine guidance at night whenever you awake or asleep. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
