Money is Spiritual (Introduction)
There’s a common misconception among Christians that money is not spiritual and that we shouldn’t concern ourselves with it because it’s part of “the cares of this life.” In fact, money is one of the most discussed topics in the Bible. There are over 2,300 verses that address money, wealth, and possessions, including instructions, parables, and financial principles. 11 of Jesus’ 39 parables—nearly 28%—deal directly with money or possessions.
Why does the Bible focus so much on money? Because it is one of the most tangible indicators of where our hearts and priorities lie. How we handle and view money reflects the condition of our heart and our faith. Money impacts not only our relationship with God but also our relationships with others. It can be a powerful tool for blessing others through generosity, yet it is also often the root cause of relational breakdowns, conflict, and greed.
Moreover, money represents trust in God. It often reveals our idols and shows how much we truly rely on Him. It is a test of our faith, obedience, and priorities.
In this devotional series, we will explore biblical wisdom on money, financial principles, the power of giving, and the heart of eternal prosperity. Each devotional will include actionable challenges or tips to help us become faithful stewards of the time, treasure, and talents God has entrusted to us—so that one day, we may stand before Him and hear, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
