Seasons of Life Part 8
"Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!" Psalm 27:14
When we enter a season of uncertainty, it can feel like flying a plane through dense fog—disorienting, unclear, and even frightening. In these moments, we can learn from how pilots navigate fog: they slow down, stay the course, and wait for clarity. Panic and sudden movements can lead to disaster, but trust and patience bring us safely through.
Slow Down – When a pilot encounters fog, the worst thing they can do is rush. Likewise, in uncertain seasons, we need to pause, reflect, and listen. The Bible often calls us to Selah—to take a sacred pause and seek God’s guidance. "Be still, and know that I am God." (Psalm 46:10)
Stay the Course – A pilot doesn’t make sudden turns in the fog; they trust their instruments, not their feelings. In uncertainty, it’s easy to react out of fear, but we need to hold steady and trust God's direction. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart” (Proverbs 3:5)
Wait for Clarity – Sometimes, the fog is too thick, and the only option is to wait. Waiting isn’t inactivity—it’s active trust that God will reveal the way forward in His perfect timing. "Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord." (Psalm 27:14)
If you are in a foggy season of life, don’t rush. Slow down, stay the course, and wait. The fog is temporary, and in time, God will bring clarity.
Reflection:
Do you feel like you're flying through fog? How can you slow down, stay the course, and wait on God's timing?
Prayer:
Abba Father, help me to slow down when I feel rushed, stay the course when I feel afraid, and wait patiently when confusion arises. I choose to trust in You, believing that the fog will lift and Your plan will unfold in Your perfect timing. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
